Questions to be answered

I got an email just yesterday from a reader who wanted to ask me some questions. I'm answering them here. I hope these are enlightening for you and thanks for the interest! :-)

How have you changed since you were a teenager till now?
I've become a lot less emotional. That's the number one thing that's changed. Whereas i used to be extremely self-reflective and attached to other people and their approval, now i am 100% self sufficient. I think now that i look at it, mature people are always really self sufficient. That's interesting to me because it says that maybe in order to be mature we have to be self sufficient. I am so glad that i'm not the person that i was when i was a teen anymore. I think my twenties has been the best era of my life so far and the best part is that it's only beginning. I'm someone who's completely about independence and self-freedom. The ability to do, move, go and decide on pretty much every area of your life. I guess you can say that i'm a micro-manager of my own life.

I'm a bit nervous about what the future holds for me since i'm still young, even though i know you're not that much older from what you're written you sound very confident with yourself. What advice would you give to people who aren't sure of their place at the moment?

The only advice that i can give to people who aren't sure of themselves is to be selfish. That's really weird advice and it sounds sort of mean or whatever but that's the key. You have to make time to look introspectively and be selfish. You'll find some surprising things if you just stop and realise all the things that you wish you had but are told to ignore.
