Prof A.C Grayling Wrote something for Criterion and It doesn't even exist anymore

I got an email literally last night from one of my favorite Writers/Philosophers' assistants. Enclosed was an attachment and it was an essay geared towards the issue of Criterion that never happened. The theme was going to be " Teachers " and i was totally looking forward to reading all about peoples experiences with schooling and how that had helped/un-helped/inspired/de-spired these creative people.
I was really bummed because the essay was so awesome. I'm still awaiting on a response from his assistant about whether i can share this essay here just so it can be read by people. I think it should be read but maybe he wants to use it for something else, so here's hoping. I felt so good that someone who was as successful and prominent as he was in the academic circles was willing to write something for my little unknown journal. He's written a bunch of books, is the lecturer for Philosophy at Oxford and was on Q&A. It's such a great essay, really easy to read but never for a moment lacking in real literary or informative value at all.

It got me thinking about the process in which i got certain people to write for Criterion. Cold, hard honesty about what it was. It was nothing, it was some peices of paper stapled together and distributed for free. All i had was a message and a keenness to share information that was interesting, engaging and about being creatively inclined. I miss checking my emails all the time and reading emails back from people saying they'd like to be involved. Even regular everyday writers saying they were interested meant as much to me as someone more famous or established.
