Why the Bitch is the Modern Witch

Today, i started watching American Horror Story : Coven and i gotta admit, i think it's excellent. I really should've caught it when it was on TV ages ago but the adverts were so cheesy and i hated the over use of dramatic effects. My minds been changed though, i'm literally hooked. 

I got to thinking about 'witches' and the entire idea of them. I feel for them. As in, i am on the side of the witches. I don't like how if a woman is powerful and magical then she must be evil but ever since the dawn of 'witchcraft' and 'Salem' and all of that, it seems like they are inherently up to no good because they just can't help it being so drunk on their own power. All witches seem like they are vengeful. Like they are getting back on the world and they don't give a damn about who they're hurting and how much destruction they are causing.

Call me crazy, but i liken witches to feminism. Witches are basically angry feminists with loads of power and loads of resentment. They are also unafraid to do what they want, when they want. My favorite character in the Coven series is Fiona. She's the ' Supreme ' witch in the series which is basically like Queen Bee of the witches. She embodies everything i love about strong and powerful women. She's a babe, she's suave, she's totally self assured and she owns everything and everyone. Her power is limitless and i have to admit, she's a massive bitch too. But the thing about bitches is that they are full of heart and emotions. Bitches or Witches ( I still find the fact that they rhyme so ironic and comical ) are only cold because they know that the world is also a bitch and that niceties and warmth are just ' complementary ' acts. They are superfluous, like text messages after " OK C ya Tuesday ".

We are quick to hate the bitches of the world but stop to think about why they are the way they are. They cut to the chase, they don't sugar coat things and they make life a little bit harder for us. But shave off the coating of politeness, gesture and nicety that the entire world is oiled on and you get one bitch of a life. It's easier to be rocked slowly into pain than to be thrown into it head first. I'd rather be thrown in headfirst because at the end of the day, that's the crux of things. The bitch is the modern witch because she's her own magic, in a sense. Her own magic is herself making shit happen, healing herself when she's down and influencing everyone around her with her vibes and her presence. Her magic is literally her personality. You can't get things done without inflicting force and women who inflict force will always have the reputation of being a bitch. 

I'm not afraid of bitches because i've known a lot in my life. In fact, i might even be one if you ask the right people. I'm not afraid of them because they are actually extremely heartful and insightful women deep inside. They are just angry and resentful at the 'truth' about how tough life is. And why shouldn't they be? There's a difference between being a bitch and 'bullying' though and i'm definitely no advocate of bullying. Bullying is singling someone out. A bitch singles out no one in particular, the whole world is their victim. Don't be hurt when you come across a bitch in life next time. They are really good witches when you get to the bottom of it all.
