It's the simple pleasures!

I had a really good day today, and all it cost me was $3.50. I'm not ashamed to admit that I think life is boring when you don't spend money, but some days i just get trumped, proven wrong, slapped across the face with a new reality. I have a massive love for the library. I love going there, being there and literally being able to look up and read on ANYTHING that i want to when i am there. I like to think that i have a really wide range of interests. I guess i'm just one of those naturally curious people who kind of wants to find out about anything. I always end up finding something that sort of amazes me and helps me with my perspective on life. Having said that, there are some ills that i can never tolerate.

Right now, it's outer space but in the past there's been Numerology, Witchcraft, Economics, Natural phenomena, Ghosts, Beauty and Aesthetics, Geniuses.. the list goes on and it will always go on. Today, i applied for a library card. My other one got lost a long time ago and i'm pretty sure there was a fine on it that had gathered interest over the last three years. I was totally prepared to pay for it but turns out that fine's been lost in the system and all it had on the record was that my last borrow was in 2010. " Good thing you didn't have any fines on it " was what the librarian said. I literally was beaming with joy inside. All i had to pay was $3.50 for a replacement card. Easy.

So today, i got these two books out. The top one is the idiots guide to managing your mood and the second one is " Cosmos " by Carl Sagan. Originally i was looking up a book on how to increase ones productivity but all of them were checked out. I also looked up my favorite author from when i was a teen ( Jacqueline Wilson ) and all her books were checked out too so i guess it'll be next time when i might be able to get some of her stuff. I know i'm going to enjoy all her books even though i'm 23 and they are written for people in their young teens. You never get sick of your favorites though, i really believe that.
