LIVE FROM MY CABIN

I’m writing this at the cabin which my parents have hired out for our little
‘ Easter get away’. It’s tiny. But I’m not that high maintenance when it comes to accommodation. If there’s a bed that’s not gross and toilet paper then it’s basically alright. The best thing about this cabin, is that you can actually hear the ocean. It’s built basically on the beach and its presence is certainly felt. Hearing the ocean evokes an ominous feeling. In a weird way, it’s like hearing the dawning of the end of the world. It’s got that grip on our senses. I love it.
The wind? Not so much though. I hate having the wind blow my hair around. But that’s no problem being in the cabin. It feels good to get away from the hub-bub of Melbourne, even if it’s just one weekend away. I wish there were more stores open though. I’ve found that clothes in the country always have this really ‘ weird ‘ vibe about them. It’s like, the store owners absent mindedly put on sale all these really cool clothes that they have no idea are actually cool. And hey, that’s TOTALLY OK with me. The prices are also totally modest too and it just gets me so excited. In the video just above, I show you my crazy jumper and jewel-ley owl necklace that I’ve bought. I hope to get some more writing done here. Amongst the sound of crashing ocean waves. I have a feeling that I’m just gonna be on Instagram though!
