KMART CRAVINGS

You know when you have cravings for Macdonalds and you have to go and get your fix? I get that too, except for K-Mart. I have this obsession with K-mart and all the things they sell, especially the one that's near me. The holy grail of all K-marts, Burwood East. The reason why this is the holy grail of k-marts is because it's open 24 hours and their stock is always amazing.
When it comes to shopping, i'm certainly no snob. I'll buy whatever is on sale as long as it looks good, seems reliable and i like it. K-mart seems to be a taboo word amongst people, like you can't go there unless you actually WANT to seem cheap and gross but i totally do not buy into that.
I don't know who chooses all the stock or designs them for the k-mart in Burwood, but every time i've been there, they've hit the nail on the head. I've found items that look like they could be found in much higher end shops. Just the other day i found a fuzzy tshirt that was cut and made out of the exact material as the American apparel ones that are in season at the moment. I thought about buying it since it was only $10 but it didn't really suit me.

The other night, i made my dad drive me to k-mart after work because i was getting a big case of the K-mart cravings. I couldn't believe how excited i was as i was marching towards the front doors. All i could think about was PRODUCTS and how i had to get them. I ended up buying a grey top, a bag of 100 cotton balls, a face mask, a bag of Twisties, a lip balm, and a nail polish. When i got home, i put on the mask and watched South Park whilst eating my chips. It was awesome. I like good quality items that cost more money, but there's something about 'ephemeral' items which are cheaper that can be just as good. Nothing can be more 'new' than something you wear once and then dispose of. I'm not encouraging wastefulness but i like how we can all afford to be more sparing of cheaper products. Sometimes when i'm bored, i head into k-mart and i always manage to find something super cheap and really good too. I'm a fan of their jeans because they are really cheap but they are also well cut and come in heaps of good colors. The only problem is that the size that i need sell out so quickly and they don't seem to replenish stock as often as i'd like.

As someone who seriously enjoys shopping for leisure, the fact that i don't have to think about how much something costs makes me giddy and that's the reality of shopping at K-mart. I'm a kid in a candy store there and it's not just because their items are cheap. I actually love K-mart branded items. Their beauty products are one of my favorite things. I am pretty girly when it comes to that stuff. Although i don't wear make up, i'm a massive skin care fan and i love all things mask and moisturizer and all that stuff. The funnest part about being a girl is the amount of products that are on offer to us and i'm more than happy to indulge in that at a place where i can actually afford to.
