ORLANDO

I watched Orlando last night after my friend Kate recommended me. It was amazing, and even though i know everyone is always gushing about Tilda Swinton, i just have to say as well, she is amazing! She is the best! I can't even deal with how incredible she is. She just doesn't possess any of that garb that makes regular people who they are. It's like she's constantly acting or something even though i don't believe she is. I think she's just the way she is.
The movie is based on Virginia Woolf's novel and it tells a story about a boy named Orlando who remains forever young, living for a thousand years or so who also changes sex and becomes a woman halfway through his life. She was basically made for this role and i love how easily she played it because i feel like she practically IS Orlando.
I love the adrogyny of the role, the fantasy of it and i love how much she looks like she belongs to another time too. I feel like there's something about Tilda Swinton that is beyond. She really is something else. She's un-real and that's why i totally have nothing but admiration for her.
